Secret Mural - Fairy Fountain Mystery

In 2015, Majora’s Mask underwent a major art overhaul. Every texture was upscaled, redesigned and replaced in the lead up to the 3D re-release of the game.

Most art additions sought to bring clarity to already present world-building details. Posters in Clock Town were updated while new graffiti was scattered around the neighbourhood in order to amplify the ragamuffin nature of the Bombers Gang.

But there’s one entirely new addition that hasn’t been discussed much among the Zelda community and its a secret mural hidden behind the waterfall in the last Fairy Fountain.

This mural generates more questions than answers.
Is that the Great Fairy falling from a sun? Is that a triforce piece she’s reaching for? Who are the skeleton figures down at the bottom corners?
